Cupping

The practice of cupping which has its origins in Chinese medicine is now available in Switzerland.
Cupping requires several large cupping vessels (glass cups) are heated using an alcohol flame and are placed with the open ends down on the relevant parts of the body. During cooling a vaccum forms inside the cup and this has different beneficial effects:
• increase in blood flow
• increases metabolism (increased elimination of waste accumulated within the body)
• loosening of tightened tissue (e.g scars)
• detonisation ( tension in the tissues is reduced)
• Pain Relief
• stimulation of internal organs by applying pressure to reflex areas of the body (reflexology)
